SUMMER WINE TASTING & DINNER

A great opportunity to welcome in summer and learn what this generation’s vintners are doing to achieve next-generation wines. Members and guests are invited to join the Environment Committee in partnership with the Wine Appreciation Group for a wine tasting and dinner with ecologist and soil scientist Dr. Rhonda Millikin. Rhonda is working with four vineyards in the Okanagan to lure birds, bats, reptiles, and amphibians to live among the grapevines, providing ecosystem services back to the vines. The vineyard industry is moving beyond organic standards toward ecosystem sustainability goals with wines distinguishable by their Native Terroir™. Rhonda’s project showcases innovative viniculture practices that make a difference to both the wine and the planet. Limited seating so register early.
