Women in Leadership Series

Please join the Program Committee in hosting the ‘Women in Leadership’ series, that will showcase three incredible women who will be presenting on their life experiences, journey, achievements, and current pursuits. These talks are complimentary, but please register with the office a week prior to each speaking engagement.
The speakers, dates and times are outlined below:
Monday, October 7th ~ Inspector Colleen Yee: Is the Inspector of the Centralized Operations Services Section of VPD, and won the Community Award for the 2019 YWCA Women of Distinction.
Wednesday, October 23rd ~ Elaine Carty: Professor Emerita of Midwifery and Nursing at the University of British Columbia, and won the Order of Canada and the Order of British Columbia.
Tuesday, October 29th ~ Dr. Patricia Daly: Chief Medical Health Officer & VP of Public Health at VCH.
Dr. Patricia Daly is the Chief Medical Health Officer and the Vice President, Public Health for Vancouver Coastal Health. She is also a Clinical Professor in the School of Population and Public Health in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia. As Chief Medical Health Officer, her primary mandate is to improve the health of the more than one million people served by Vancouver Coastal Health through population health approaches and public health initiatives. Her mandate includes public health surveillance, prevention programs, harm reduction, environmental health, health promotion, and advocacy.
Dr. Daly’s will be speaking about her leadership journey.
