Trust Fund for Education

Celebrating over 54 Years of Supporting Students!

The Trust Fund for Education was established in 1970 as a charitable organization registered with the Canada Revenue Agency. It was established by the membership of The University Women’s Club of Vancouver to support women’s education. We help those who are marginalized gain a voice and equal standing through further education. The Trustees value all diversity, including race, gender, cultural background and areas of endeavour. We honour excellence and leadership.

The Board of Trustees administers the UWCV Trust Fund for Education, which funds scholarships, bursaries and endowments through nine accredited post-secondary public education institutions in Greater Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.

Supported Institutions

  • British Columbia Institute of Technology
  • Capilano University
  • Douglas College
  • Emily Carr University of Art & Design
  • Kwantlen Polytechnic University
  • Langara College
  • Simon Fraser University
  • The University of British Columbia
  • Vancouver Community College

Bursaries and scholarships are made possible by donations, bequests and interest derived from existing funds. Tax receipts are issued for donations of $25 or more.

Individual institutions select the candidates to receive awards, and the institutions manage all endowment funds entrusted to them.
