FRENCH CONVERSATION GROUPS
New Members are always welcome to:
TUESDAY FRENCH This is an introductory course. Some of the participants are beginners and others are more advanced and only wish to review material or to gain confidence in the use of the language. Beginner French attempts to provide a supportive environment to give members confidence. It is also a class that provides some entertainment in the process of learning. We have, for example, gone for lunch in a French restaurant and ordered our meal in French, we have used the kitchen at the Club to prepare Crèpes and learned the name of the ingredients in French, and attempt to have activities that make learning more fun. The class is held on Tuesdays at 10:00 am. The first half-hour of the class is offered to members who wish to review material previously covered and the next hour is usually to present new material. Daniele Walker, email@example.com, Convenor
THURSDAY FRENCH is conversational French with our mentor, Suzanne Poulin. While a basic knowledge of French is an asset, we welcome members at all levels of French-speaking ability. Conversations are informal and cover a wide range of topics. Our mentor helps members to improve their overall knowledge of the French language through different activities such as video clips, songs, crossword puzzles and short articles. We often enjoy lunch together after our sessions.
