The UWCV Education Committee would like to invite you to attend the first Education Forum, "Violence in Schools," a discussion to be held by Dr. Elizabeth Saewyc.

Dr. Saewyc's research focuses on how the stigma and trauma influence the health of marginalized young people, and what protective factors and interventions can foster resilience.

This Education Forum – the first of what is hoped will be an annual event – looks at the concerns around violence in schools and both the speaker and the panel of experts will provide valuable insights into this issue.

There will be ample opportunity for participants to get responses to their questions, and it is hoped that, at the end of the meeting, they might sign a letter of concern to be sent to the Ministry.
