Zimbabwean-Canadian artist Chaka Chikodzi brings his powerful stone sculptures to the lush gardens of Hycroft this summer with the debut of Art + Design in the Garden, an outdoor exhibition presented in partnership with the University Women’s Club of Vancouver.

Set in the historic grounds of Hycroft, this immersive outdoor exhibition invites visitors to engage with sculpture in a living, breathing environment. “This exhibition is about connecting people to stone, to place, and to the natural world through art,” says Chikodzi. His work, carved from volcanic rock sourced in Zimbabwe, blends ancient materials with bold, contemporary form — a dialogue between heritage, landscape, and design.
