Three Minute Thesis
May 31 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Join us for a dynamic afternoon of Three Minute Thesis (3MT) presentations, where exceptional graduate students from UBC and SFU share the stories of their research. Watch as these emerging scholars distill months – or even years – of work into engaging, three-minute talks.
The Minute Thesis (3MT) is an academic competition that assists current graduate students to enhance their presentation and communication skills. Participants have just three minutes to explain the breadth and significance of their research projects to non-specialist audiences. Founded by the University of Queensland in 2008, the competition has steadily grown in popularity, and 3MT competitions are now held at over 350 universities across 59 countries worldwide.
